VENUES AND VENDOR RECOMMENDATIONS
A photography session is a big investment and you want to be sure that everything is in place to ensure your experience runs smoothly and that you have prepared and planned all aspects that go into making a successful photo shoot.
I always assist my clients in selecting the best locations for photography. Many of the great locations for photographs in Ontario require special permission or permits. I know you may see tourists and other folks snapping away, but for professional photography sessions often permits are required when photographing portraits. Any fees associated with permits will be the responsibility of my clients but I can certainly help you with making arrangements to have all of the paperwork in place to ensure things go smoothly once we reach our destination.
While some locations really make fantastic backdrops for your portraits there are other considerations such as the time of day, season, weather, special events and other factors you may wish to consider. Also, you may have personal connection to specific locations, buildings, parks, and other areas that are special to you - I would love to hear about these and incorporate them into your photo shoot!
It is always best to choose locations that are easy to access, and if you are hoping to be photographed in multiple locations it is important to consider travel time between different areas. If we are travelling in busy areas of the city or at peak times it is important to allow for extra time to reach various locations.
